Bell Let’s Talk Day: Let’s Share & Listen

Let’s face it no one is perfect! Photos all over social media may portray a perfect life, but do you know what’s really going on with your friends? Do you find that you’re always waiting for your time to talk instead of listening to your friends story? When was the last time you actually took the time to listen, really listen?

I love sharing my stories, the good the bad and the ugly. Sharing the bad and ugly stories is scary, but it’s those stories that shapes us into who we are. When I share those stories with friends or even perfect strangers I share a certain vulnerability. Showing this vulnerability opens the conversation up, it opens a new platform of comfort for others to not be afraid to share their stories.

In life we get so caught up in ourselves that we forget to listen to others. Trust me, it’s worth the time to listen, the person next to you might be going through something similar! No one is perfect.

Some days are better than others, today is Bell Let’s Talk Day. I’m proud to say I’ve teamed up with Team Canada to share my story about mental illness. The link is below.
